Dr. Loubriel McCormick is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist who provides comprehensive evaluations, consultations, and ongoing treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. She offers therapy and medication management when indicated for a variety of conditions, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, OCD, and ADHD.
Dr. Loubriel McCormick graduated summa cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelors in science. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, graduating magna cum laude. She completed her general psychiatry residency training at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medicine. While in residency, she presented at national conferences and published on a randomized clinical trial of a gaming-based social skills group treatment in youth with ADHD and anxiety disorders. She completed her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship training at the NewYork – Presbyterian Hospital combined Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University program, where she served as Chief Resident. During fellowship, she earned an American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Educational Outreach Program Award.
After completing her training, Dr. Loubriel McCormick went on to serve as Psychiatric Team Lead for Columbia University Medical Center’s Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program, having a central role in program development. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center, where she continues to teach child and adolescent psychiatry trainees. She is board certified in both adult as well as child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
